Pacalis conferences are pleased to host the The ‘Preventing Violent Extremism: Winning Hearts and Minds’ Conference which will take place on Thursday 23rd October 2008 at the Cedar Court Hotel Leeds/Bradford. This event will bring together some of the countries leading speakers within the PVE field to introduce delegates to emerging work around this agenda with emphasis on a community perspective.

About the conference

This one day conference incorporates keynote speakers including Lord Kamlesh Patel, Ministerial adviser to the Communities and Local Government Secretary Hazel Blears. Superintendent Stuart Harman CTU Manchester, Kersten England Calderdale Council, Maqsood Ahmed senior advisor on Muslim communities DCLG and chairing this event will be the BBC’s Barnie Choudhury. The conference will also provide inputs by leading practitioners and a community perspective on the PVE agenda.
